Practice Minutes Reminder and Friday lessons.

Practice minutes for your child's weekly lesson are due on lesson day. Remember that 5th-6th graders are required to practice 100 minutes a week and 7th-8th graders are required to practice 120 minutes a week. Each extra practice will help their score if they fall behind or miss a lesson.

Practice minutes are 10 points for 5th-6th graders (out of 100. If they practice 90 minutes, they'll get 9/10. If they practice 120 minutes, they'll get 12/10) and 12 points for 7th-8th graders (out of 120. If they practice 90 minutes, they'll get 9/12. If they practice 150 minutes, they'll get 15/120).

Their weekly lesson is out of 10 points. 10 being well done and executed, 8-9 being good with minor mistakes, 6-7 being good with major mistakes, 3-5 being not executed or poor.

5th-6th grade lessons are out of 20 each week, where 7th-8th grade lesson are out of 22.

IMPORTANT:

Practice minutes are expected to be initialed by the student, and SIGNED BY PARENT/GUARDIAN for full practice minute credit ON THE DAY of the lesson. I will accept minute points for partial credit if there is no signature and signed by FRIDAY OF THAT WEEK.

There are no Friday lesson next week (9/22). Students with lessons on Fridays are expected to make them up or reschedule during Lessons After Hours.

This weeks lesson grades will be posted by the end of the day today (Friday September, 15th). Keep a daily practicing log with your child so practice minutes are ready to go by their lesson!
