 Why be in Music?: 

 

1) Teamwork: much like a sport, each member of the band has a responsibility to the group.

2) Travel: This year, the high school band has the opportunity to travel to San Antonio, Texas this November.  Plus there are several music trips, camps, and activities that happen year round!

​

3) Build relationships: You will be around other students you may not see every day.  You'll get to build relationships and play music with them!

​

4) It's Fun!: Being a part of a music ensemble is so much fun! It's an engaging experience plus you are learning something new each day!

5) Success: Numerous studies have shown that participation in school music have improved math and standardized test scores in all grades!
