ABOUT THE director:
My name is Kristen Scheidt and I love to teach music! I grew up in a small town not much bigger than Mobridge in southwest Minnesota. I started piano in 3rd grade. I started band in 5th grade and played clarinet all through school and college.

Education:
I graduated from high school at Luverne High School in Luverne, Minnesota in 2012. I graduated college at South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota in December, 2016!

Fun Facts:
I love to learn and try other musical instruments. I love playing other instruments, and I get excited when I can play them. That same excitement is rewarding and incredible when I see it in my students!

I love to read and write. I often keep a book and a journal with me.
​
I've been to 29 states and I traveled to 7 countries outside the United States.
